With great pleasure, the Province of Lecce reconfirms its acknowlegment for the next year edition of Young Football International Tournament, that will take place on the football fields of Salento. The Carnival Tournament of Gallipoli_Santa Maria di Leuca Cup, that reached the 12th edition, is already a well-established event that successfully encourages sports competitiveness among the young players. Year after year, the tournament fosters the knowledge of Salento and the welcome manners that people who leave here are used to reserve to the guests.

The teams taking part in the tournament are local, national and internarional ones: for this reason, it's not only a good situation for the young players to take a challenge and measure themselves, but also a great opportunity to know new cultures. This event promotes some values such as honesty, respect and multiculturalism and the citizens of this area are proud of it, since they considers football as an educational vehicle and a way to promote the healthcare.

A hearty welcome to the competitors, the helpers and all the people that will follow all the matches with great passion. My gratitude goes to the managers and the organisers that make a lot of efforts in order to guarantee the success of the event. A special greeting to the young players, who are the real protagonists of the tournament, and a support for their hopes: Come on guys!
